Update Sinta augustus 2025

SINTA

Today, Sinta and her daughter Sabine spent most of their time relaxing in the corner of the cage. With rain falling all day and the weather staying cool, they chose to rest and take it easy. Sabine kept herself busy, climbing up and down, swinging on the tires and drums that are part of their enrichment. Occasionally, Sinta joined in, though she mostly preferred sitting calmly on the floor of the cage.

This week was supposed to be their turn to go to forest school, but due to the weather, the staff decided to keep them in the cage. Hopefully tomorrow, if the weather improves, they’ll be able to head back to the forest for their learning sessions.

Inside the cage, their activities were just sitting quietly, resting, and waiting for their feeding time and daily enrichment of jelly and milk. Sometimes, they watched the staff passing by or cleaning the area around the cage. One of their favorite pastimes is playing with the drinking water tap splashing around is far more entertaining than just sitting still.

Both are in good health, regularly monitored by the veterinarian team. Their appetite is normal. Sinta and Sabine both enjoy papaya, though Sabine was caught cheekily snatching food from her mother. Sinta herself does not seem to like cabbage much and often leaves it behind.

There are no signs of stress or unusual behavior. Hopefully, later this week, Sinta and Sabine can return to the Forest School especially Sabine, who still needs plenty of guidance from her mother to keep learning about the forest.
