REDI

Redi is a slightly shy but intelligent and curious orangutan. At Jerora Forest School, he studies alongside four companions: Seko, Julia, Otan, and Pulu. Though he may seem reserved at first, Redi has formed close bonds with all his groupmates.

Among his peers, Redi often explores with Seko and Otan. The trio enjoys wandering through the forest together, moving from tree to tree while soaking in the cool and refreshing atmosphere of Jerora. They eagerly learn to identify various natural foods—searching for sweet forest fruits, digging for hidden shoots, and selecting tender leaves to munch on.

Redi may not be as assertive as the others when it comes to competing for food, but he always manages to secure his share. He carefully observes his friends, mimicking their techniques for plucking leaves or peeling young bark. His keen memory and willingness to try new methods have made him increasingly independent day by day.

Despite his calm demeanor, Redi never misses an adventure. Occasionally, he pauses to examine something intriguing—a bug on a leaf or the distant call of a bird. These moments reflect his deep curiosity and attentiveness to his surroundings.

In the forest, Redi is active and thoroughly enjoys his explorations. However, back at the overnight enclosure, his shy nature becomes more apparent. He tends to keep his distance from the animal keepers during feeding time, unlike some of his bolder companions who approach without hesitation. Nevertheless, Redi maintains a healthy appetite and remains in excellent condition.

Each day at Jerora Forest School provides Redi with valuable opportunities to grow and refine his survival skills. With his sharp observational skills and strong curiosity, he is steadily preparing for a future in the wild, one step at a time.
