BANIR

When the Christmas treat arrived, Banir was lying on her mother, Benazir, waiting. However, as soon as she saw the Santa Claus costume worn by the animal keeper, Banir and her mother seemed reluctant to take the fruit satay offered. Realizing this, the animal keeper placed the treat between the bars of their cage and moved away. Only then did Banir and Benazir approach and start enjoying the Christmas treat.

Even though her mother had taken some of the fruit, Banir continued to eat calmly, especially when there were no people around. However, when staff members approached, Banir showed curiosity and tried to get closer, as if she wanted to interact more.

Inside their cage, Banir is often seen playing in her hammock. This spot has become her favorite for various activities, from resting and eating to shaking the hammock when the animal keeper is nearby. It often seems like Banir is either trying to avoid them or just seeking attention.

When she gets her food, Banir doesn’t eat near the animal keeper. Instead, she takes hers and quickly moves to her hammock, her chosen spot to enjoy her meal peacefully. Still, occasionally Banir watches the animal keeper from a distance, as if to ensure that a safe distance is maintained. She also tries to keep her distance from her mother, Benazir, who sometimes takes some of her food.

Outside of mealtime, Banir shows her mischievous side. Unlike her calmer, more solitary behavior at the forest school, Banir in her cage becomes bolder and appears unafraid of anything. She often approaches the animal keeper, hits the bars of her cage, and makes noises that clearly show her desire for attention. This behavior is often ignored by the animal keeper, who is used to her antics, which are just attempts to get attention. When attention is given, Banir will step away briefly, only to return and repeat her behavior.

In her interactions with her mother, Benazir, Banir also shows her more spoiled side. When milk is given, Benazir usually drinks it first. Seeing this, Banir cries as if asking for milk first. Her mother, feeling sorry for her, eventually lets Banir have some of the milk she’s been drinking. Once Benazir hands over half of the remaining milk, Banir stops crying and begins drinking it calmly, after the animal keeper refills her milk.
