BANIR
Over the past few months, Banir and her mother, Benazir, have been living in the socialization cage, far from the activities of the forest school. Despite this, Banir remains in a good health, with an excellent diet. Every day, she shows her cheerful and active personality within the cage.
Unlike Benazir, who tends to be protective, especially when the keepers approach, Banir appears relaxed and enjoys interacting with humans. She even shows her fondness for being petted by the keepers. Her curious nature makes her constantly interested in new things around her.
However, their time together in the cage is not without challenges. One of the reasons Banir has not returned to the forest school is Benazir’s tendency to find ways to escape the forest school area. This behavior poses a challenge for Banir, who is not yet ready to be separated from her mother. As a result, Banir has not had the chance to learn more about exploration and survival skills in the forest.
To address this, the rehabilitation team is planning an important step: separating Banir from Benazir. This process is designed as the first stage towards Banir’s independence. However, the separation is not without risks, particularly the stress Banir might experience. Therefore, the SOC team is carefully considering the safest and most effective way to implement this plan.
Delaying Banir’s rehabilitation in the forest school for too long could impact her skill development. The longer she remains in the socialization enclosure, the more extended her rehabilitation process will become. By separating Banir from Benazir, the team hopes Banir can quickly begin learning and developing at the forest school, building the skills she needs for an independent life in the wild.
May this step proceed smoothly, guiding Banir toward a bright future full of promise and potential.
