Update Sinta november 2025

The rainy season in Jerora has been completely unpredictable—hot enough to make you sweat at midday, then suddenly turning into a heavy downpour by late afternoon. The entire Forest School area becomes damp, almost like a documentary film set. Amid this mood-swing weather, Sinta and Sabine are taking a short break from forest school and enjoying some relaxed days in their cage.

Both of them are in stable condition—healthy, eating well, and looking totally chill. The medical team stays on high alert since weather like this can easily trigger respiratory issues in orangutans. But this mother–daughter duo seems even more bonded and comfortable with each other.

Sabine still has her signature style: exploring on her own, moving around from corner to corner, checking every little spot. But the moment a staff member walks by, she immediately does her “auto-cling”—swinging straight toward Sinta as if saying, “Mom, stranger alert!” even though no one is actually unfamiliar. Sometimes they play with the tap water, sometimes they scatter leaves everywhere like two tiny artists creating a natural installation.

What’s most reassuring is that their interactions with the staff remain smooth, with no aggression or signs of stress. Everything is normal, safe, and wholesome. These simple moments remind us that behind the daily routines of the forest, there are always small stories worth celebrating—stories of closeness, safety, and growing trust.
