SINTA

That morning, around 9:30 AM, Sinta began her activities in the forest school. She was encountered on the feeding platform, busily grooming her infant with great care. Once she was done, Sinta embraced her baby with both arms and slowly descended to the forest floor. There, she began arranging leaves to make a resting spot. While cradling her sleeping infant, Sinta enjoyed eating rattan fruit. They spent quite a while on the forest floor—more than an hour—before continuing their exploration.

Afterward, Sinta walked away from the feeding platform and came across a tree approximately 8 to 10 meters tall. She climbed the tree with her baby. Once they reached the lower canopy, Sinta allowed her infant to hang and climb on the tree by itself, though not too far from her position. While her baby played, Sinta kept a close eye on it as she fed on young leaves. For about 10 minutes, she let her baby practice climbing before approaching it again. They then rested together in the tree until around midday.

After the midday break, when the animal keepers returned to continue their observation, Sinta was no longer in the previous tree. She was found on the forest floor, quite a distance from the original location, near the electric fence boundary of the forest school. There, she was seen carrying her still-sleeping infant while eating wild palm shoots. They stayed in that area for about 15 minutes before Sinta continued her journey.

Along the way, Sinta found another tree and let her baby play and swing in the branches—of course, still within a safe and watchful distance. She kept observing her baby while feeding on young leaves. After about 10 minutes, her baby returned to her side, and the two rested together in the lower canopy for approximately 30 minutes.

Toward late afternoon, Sinta continued her exploration up to the upper canopy while carrying her baby. There, they rested, and eventually, Sinta began building their night nest—a place for them to sleep and end the day.
